Expert ADHD Treatment

A Comprehensive Approach to ADHD

At Intra Health Services, we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD across the lifespan. ADHD affects attention, executive function, impulse control, and often coexists with anxiety or depression. Our approach combines expert medication management with practical strategies to improve daily functioning.

ADHD looks different in everyone — from inattentive presentations (distractibility, disorganization) to hyperactive-impulsive presentations (restlessness, interrupting) or combined type. We take time to understand your unique profile and tailor treatment accordingly.

What Our ADHD Care Includes

  • Thorough diagnostic assessment including symptom history, functional impairment, and rule-out of other conditions
  • Personalized medication options (stimulants — methylphenidate, amphetamines; non-stimulants — atomoxetine, guanfacine, viloxazine)
  • Regular monitoring for symptom improvement, side effects, and cardiovascular health
  • Psychoeducation about ADHD and executive function strategies (organization, time management)
  • Coordination with therapists, coaches, or school/work accommodations

Our Process

How Our ADHD Care Works

Structured, supportive, and tailored — we help you build focus and control.

1

Initial evaluation (60-90 min) to assess ADHD symptoms, childhood history, and functional impact.

2

Collaborative treatment planning — medication, behavioral strategies, and therapy or coaching referrals.

3

Ongoing follow-ups (15-30 min) to fine-tune medication, track focus and side effects, and adjust strategies.

FAQ

Common Questions About ADHD Treatment

Do you treat adults with ADHD?
Yes, we specialize in ADHD care for adults and adolescents (ages 14+). We conduct thorough evaluations and provide ongoing medication management.
What medications are used for ADHD?
Stimulants (methylphenidate, amphetamines) are first-line and highly effective. Non-stimulants (atomoxetine, guanfacine, viloxazine) are options for those who prefer not to use stimulants or have contraindications.
How long does it take for ADHD medication to work?
Stimulants work within 30-60 minutes and last 4-12 hours depending on formulation. Non-stimulants take 4-6 weeks to reach full effect. We work with you to find the right fit.
Do I need therapy along with medication?
Medication is very effective for core ADHD symptoms, but therapy or coaching can help with executive function skills, organization, and emotional regulation. We can provide referrals.
Do you prescribe stimulants via telehealth?
Yes, within Massachusetts and Connecticut, we can prescribe stimulants via telehealth after a comprehensive in-person or telehealth evaluation (depending on state regulations). We follow all legal and safety guidelines.
